All projects are produced by me.
I've been writing poems since I was 16, I love to use my words to convey a story or an idea that bring outs a deeper more intense version of myself. I was afraid to express my ideas to people because of my fears of rejection, and criticism but I realized without those how am I suppose to better my work, so here are my words. I hope they resonate with you and they encourage you to express yourself in your own way!
Family Creed
This poem I wrote when I was 17, I was a junior in highschool, I'm not completely sure how the idea of a family became a focus of mine but it was. I thought about what kind of father I want to be, raised only by my mom and aunties I was deep in thought because the actions of a father were so distant to me.
Being nice to everyone has its up’s and has it’s downs. But I live for the day I can fix a frown.
As a man or as I am on my way to become one. I stop and notice when I see one,
the men who share and spread the light that’s what I want to be in my life.
I want to raise my sons to be the men this world needs, the type of men who can see a problem and succeed.
If I’m blessed with girls so be it; but no man will tame the ones I’ve breeded,
my girls will be smart, strong, and will never let a man steer them wrong. My children will be wise and humble letting no one hush them or hear them mumble.
They will speak with the voice of a lion, and smile to those they may see cryin, so when my time comes and my children are alone I know they’ve built themselves with the strongest bricks and stone.

Scattered Thoughts
Fluid are thoughts with no stability create imaginary problems we seem to do
I can’t save the world with a stick of glue, cracked are her curves, twisted are her thoughts so much in common yet we still fought
The one thing that pulls us together tears us apart, because we’re poisoned by evil from the start
Believe the world is evil you’ll see no good, show the world some good you’ll stop the evil
Come to the realization that change is our responsibility, like the seasons in the year
Whether cold or warm change is bound to come, for better or for worse; we live with our curse.

Love's Story
Love begins with the softest of kisses, and the warmest of hugs. Love is the beginning of an infinite swirl of affection, an affection that’ll get you lost in its glow and satisfying lure
Lost for seconds, for days, even years but love always ends in tears,
the feeling of tons of love pouring into th ocean for the world to acknowledge, just for the world to abandon the ocean an search to the stars for a love vast and wide, a love deep an far. The love they seek you have provided, but their eyes are misguided.

Agapé

She looks so warm yet so distant, to achieve her warmth I must devote to her challenges
Climbing her insecurities to see the beautiful view of a confident sunrise
Swimming through hurricanes of tears showing a rainbow of fearless love after it clears
Her words whisper in my ears with inspiration

Her touch can bring the mightiest of men to their knees
Her temple isn’t such that can be violated, for she is queen
So no man has tamed her, but a man seeking to conquer will not succeed
Royalty has no need to entertain, but to maintain a queen you must seek your kingdom an claim king

My People
To the sisters of my race, that the world shows disgrace,

your pain goes unnoticed, your love given not received, as us men leave you with the kids WE breed.

Yes we’re flawed, yes we bleed, we’re not the Gods we believe to be

As we acknowledge our past, we must also apologize for our behavior, we’ve treated our future Michelle’s as if there’s tons of that flavor

When the fact is as we worked the fields, you raised a generation, helped us out of bondage we were enslaved in.

Recognize the greats we will, the Rosa Park’s, the Tubman’s, the melanin queens with supporting husbands

My sisters I beg…I plead your kings no not what they mean

So come home, take arms, for our future is in harm
